Dr. Bharat Pothuri, MD, FACG, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with over 25 years of experience, dedicated to providing exceptional care for gastrointestinal conditions. As the founder of GastroDoxs, located in the Greater Houston area, Dr. Pothuri has made it his mission to offer comprehensive digestive care with a personal touch.
Dr. Pothuri’s extensive medical education includes completing his studies at KIMS Medical School, followed by a residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA, and a fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and hepatology and became a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) in 2016, an esteemed title that recognizes his exceptional contributions to the field.
His compassionate approach to patient care, combined with his commitment to ongoing education, has earned him a loyal patient base in North Houston and beyond. Dr. Pothuri’s team is known for creating a welcoming, supportive environment, making each patient feel valued throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Pothuri enjoys spending time with his family, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, exploring Houston's culinary scene, and engaging in philanthropic activities. Both he and his wife, Dr. Vanitha Pothuri, actively contribute to various non-profit organizations, and they are deeply committed to giving back to their community.
