    Dysphagia is difficulty moving food, liquid, or pills from the mouth to the stomach. It may involve the mouth and throat phase or the esophagus.

    Causes include neurologic disease, muscle disorders, rings, reflux strictures, EoE, tumors, achalasia, spasm, weak motility, diverticula, and medication injury.
