Intro of Community Health Choice
Community Health Choice is a nonprofit plan that serves the communities within Texas focusing on affordable healthcare services to its members. It has a mission to open the door to improved health by helping lower-income families and individuals with Medicaid, CHIP as well as Marketplace coverage.
Geared towards eliminating care barriers, Community Health Choice pays special attention to preventive care, chronic disease treatment, and services that address the issues of cultural sensitivity. Through its collaboration with the healthcare providers in the area, the organization aims at the creation of healthier communities by educating, reaching out, and supporting them compassionately.
Our History
Community Health Choice was established in 1997 in Houston as a renowned organization that aims at offering healthcare coverage and support to Texas Medicaid beneficiaries.
Our Milestones
Founded 1997 As a local Medicaid health plan.
• Grew into the Market place plans according to the Affordable Care act (ACA).
The size of the current membership formations is over 400,000 in Texas.
Continues to promote community health by means of access, equity, and education.
