Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, focusing on GI conditions.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic gastroenterological issues.
• Prescribe medications and develop care plans in collaboration with the medical team.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the scope of practice.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure counseling for patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize care delivery.
• Stay informed about advancements in gastroenterology through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Active and unrestricted NP license.
• Experience in gastroenterology or internal medicine is preferred.
• Treat patients in both a clinic and hospital settings.
• Exceptional clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
• Strong ability to educate patients and families on GI health.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster patient trust and team collaboration.
